1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TerraGuard and related services provided by Syncrally ("we," "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

2. Description of Services

TerraGuard is a security analysis platform for Terraform infrastructure. Our services include:

  • Static security analysis of Terraform plan files
  • Compliance reporting for SOC 2, PCI-DSS, and HIPAA frameworks
  • Security guardrail enforcement
  • Multi-cloud provider support (AWS, Azure, Cloudflare)
  • API access for programmatic integration

3. Account Registration

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Promptly notify us of any unauthorized access
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use our services for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload malicious code or attempt to compromise our systems
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Resell or redistribute our services without authorization
  • Exceed rate limits or abuse API access
  • Interfere with other users' access to the service

5. Intellectual Property

TerraGuard, including its software, documentation, and branding, is owned by Syncrally and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your Terraform files and data.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive license to use our services in accordance with these terms.

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using TerraGuard, you consent to the collection and use of data as described therein.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any Terraform files to our service.

7. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may:

  • Perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice
  • Modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice
  • Suspend accounts that violate these terms

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OUR SERVICES.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee that TerraGuard will detect all security vulnerabilities or that your infrastructure will be secure.

Security analysis is supplementary to, not a replacement for, professional security audits.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the TerraGuard team from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our services or violation of these terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through our services. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through good faith negotiation or applicable legal proceedings.
